April is National Poetry Month!


National Poetry Month was inaugurated by the Academy of American Poets in 1996. It has become the largest literary celebration in the world celebrating poetry.
The celebration of this month aims to:
  • highlight the achievement of poets,
  • encourage the reading of poetry,
  • encourage increased publication and distribution of poetry and 
  • encourage support for poets and poetry.
